Onboard your Yacht with Smartcharter

You may now enjoy the Meet the Sea experience delivered to your private yacht or day charter.
From June 1st, 2021, Smartcharter is offering our Meet the Sea “Onboard your yacht” experience to their clients. You may now enjoy the Meet the Sea marine experience delivered to your yacht wherever you have dropped anchor in Formentera or Ibiza.

What is “Onboard your Yacht”?

Our team comprised of 2 members arrives in a zodiac to the location of your yacht. We pick you up and take you to a nearby zone selected by our marine biologist that is brimming with marine life and natural beauty. It is time to put on our snorkelling gear and go on a guided tour to enjoy beautiful and wild settings and…learn a bit about marine life!
The activity lasts for about three hours and is a true marine adventure and an opportunity for you to become an “expert” in marine biology and take some beautiful underwater pictures. We will have our subaquatic drone with us to make your experience more complete!

How do you book “Onboard your Yacht”?

You may book through Smartcharter by calling them when you reserve your day charter. We just need to know a day in advance and Smartcharter will let us know. You decide the time of day you want us to come to you, morning or afternoon.

For who is this activity ideal?

We always think that children in particular can benefit from the activity, but to our surprise it is adults who ask more questions and are active participants. The value of learning about the sea and enjoying its beauty can never be overstated. Offer the opportunity to friends and family!

Smartcharter is the largest boat chartering company in Ibiza and Formentera.
Boat setter is the worldwide digital marketplace for boat owners, captains and boat renters and a partner to smartcharter.

Our Summer 2020

Our first post has to be about gratitude. A huge thank you to all our friends who contributed to a fantastic debut season despite the innumerable challenges we faced!

We are so happy to have witnessed children of different nationalities feel seaweed under their feet for the first time. Families who felt a bit apprehensive about the sea fought their fears and enjoyed an unforgettable five-hour experience on board our trusted classic wooden boat “Pascual”. Friends learned about the precious and fragile posidonia that populates our coast, the habitat of sea urchins, the frightful voracity of the fish we fed and the methodical construction of the octopus’ home with pebbles and seashells as small but reassuring walls.

We will remember until next season the faces of delight and astonishment during our guided snorkelling tour as we observed marine life; the surprise of the younger ones on board as our Pirate Morgan appeared and asked for help in retrieving her long lost Treasure, and the new friendships forged over lunch in “Pascual” anchored in Sea Margalides or Cala Comte.

Our excursion

Our excursion is about enjoying the sea and in doing so learning of its importance. In our lives, in our society and in our future. We echo the words of Baba Dioum that preside our landing page and guide our mission: “In the end we will conserve only what we love; we will love only what we understand and we will understand only what we are taught”. Meet the Sea wants to invite you all to spend a few hours at sea where we combine fun and learning in truly privileged settings like Conejera, Cala Comte, Punta Galera, Ses Margalides  and the western coast of Ibiza.

We want to thank Joan and the Pascual crew for providing a boat always in great shape, our beloved “Pascual”. Tim and KT for their implication with MTS from the start, Maria José and Andrea for their kind welcome when we were only a project, Gaby for her interest and support, Santana and Pepe for their advice and their years of experience. In particular, to all that visited us on board during the months of July and August and who humbled us with their words of gratitude and appreciation. We only hope to see you again at sea!
